Privacy policy

1. Who we are

OneView (package name com.oneview.portfolio) is a portfolio information and record-keeping app developed by Ahsan Nawaz. For privacy questions, visit the developer portfolio.

2. Information used by the app

You may enter investment names, symbols, quantities, prices, transactions, fees, dividends, notes, and related portfolio details. OneView uses these records to calculate holdings, values, returns, allocation, and activity. The app saves this portfolio in its private storage on your device. It does not require an account or send your portfolio to a OneView server.

OneView does not sell portfolio or statement information. The current app does not include analytics SDKs.

3. Statement files and on-device processing

You can select a supported PDF, CSV, or TXT statement, or send one to OneView through Android’s Share or Open with menu. The app reads the file locally to detect transactions or holdings and shows a preview before saving anything. The selected file is not copied to or uploaded to a OneView server.

Digitally generated PDFs are read using their embedded text and page layout. If a PDF has no selectable text, OneView may use Google ML Kit text recognition on the device. The ML Kit component may be downloaded and maintained through Google Play services, but the statement image and recognized statement text are processed on the device by the app and are not sent to a OneView server. CSV and TXT files are mapped locally using recognized column headings.

Imported results become part of the locally stored portfolio only after you approve them. OneView can compare subsequent position statements with existing holdings and propose changes, but you should verify every preview against the official statement.

4. Public market data and logos

To search for or refresh public prices, NAVs, payouts, or investment logos, the app makes direct internet requests to external sources. Depending on the feature and investment, these sources include Pakistan Stock Exchange, MUFAP, Al-Ameen Funds, Pak Data Hub, and public data or logo hosts such as GitHub Raw and CloudFront.

Those providers may receive normal request information such as your IP address, device or network information, request time, and the public fund or company being looked up. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies. OneView does not intentionally include your portfolio transaction records or statement files in those requests.

5. Optional statement reminders

You can choose an optional weekly or monthly reminder to download and import your latest statement. The schedule is stored on your device and Android delivers the notification locally. On supported Android versions, OneView asks for notification permission. Turning reminders off cancels the scheduled reminder. OneView does not use reminders to build a profile or send reminder activity to a OneView server.

6. Device security and backups

You can enable a privacy PIN. The app stores a salted hash of the PIN in local device preferences, not the PIN itself. If you enable biometric lock, Android handles verification; OneView does not receive or store your fingerprint, face, or other biometric template. These lock settings remain on device and are not included in exported portfolio backups.

Android cloud backup and device transfer of OneView app data are disabled in the app configuration. If you choose Export backup, the app writes a JSON copy of your portfolio to the location you select. If you choose Restore backup, the app reads the file you select. Exported files are under your control and may contain sensitive financial records, so store and share them carefully.

7. Retention, access, and deletion

Locally stored portfolio information remains until you edit or delete individual records, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall OneView. You can use the app to view and change your records. Removing the app’s storage or uninstalling it removes the app’s local copy. Source statements and exported backup files remain in locations you control and must be deleted separately.

OneView does not create a remote user account or retain a server copy of your portfolio. Because there is no remote OneView account, there is no server account to request for deletion. For questions about data handling, visit the developer portfolio.

8. This website

This website is a static information site. It has no account, contact form, or analytics script and does not set cookies itself. The developer portfolio link leads to an external website. If you contact the developer there, the information you choose to send is used to respond to your request, and that website’s privacy practices also apply. The website’s hosting provider may process standard connection data, such as IP address and request logs, according to the hosting configuration.

9. Children

OneView is intended for people managing their own investment records and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a OneView account or service.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy if OneView’s features or data practices change. The updated version will appear here with a new date. For privacy questions or requests, visit the developer portfolio.
